Special Guest: Steve Swanson

On September 18th, we will have Steve Swanson with us at Heartland.  Steve and Barbara Swanson's goal is sharing the gospel with Muslim brothers and sisters who have yet to know the whole truth about Jesus. They believe that the local church is an important partner in sharing the gospel with the new neighbors coming to Europe.

One of the highlights of the past two years was journeying with 16 new Christ-followers from the Middle East and sharing in their baptism and new life in the local church.  Responding to the wave of refugees coming to Europe, Steve will join Barbara as a long-term missionary focusing on refugee ministries.

As Steve pursues returning as a Covenant long-term missionary, he sees the need for solid biblical teaching and discipleship. Pastoral care and spiritual direction are tools for strengthening the body of Christ. Steve says, “God is giving us an opportunity to share the gospel with people who have never heard it before or seen it lived out. We cannot go to their countries, but they are coming to ours!”
