In Our Community
Please contact the Church office for more information on community outreach and how you can join Heartland in connecting locally to make a difference for those in need.
Modesto Gospel Mission
The Modesto Gospel Mission is a Christian-based, non-government-funded facility providing shelter, food, clothing, medical care and addiction treatment services to the homeless and needy in the area. The facility is completely donation and volunteer-dependent. Heartland Community Church participates in this ministry by sending a volunteer group to the mission to facilitate a worship service once a month. We also spend time afterward listening to and praying with those who attend.

Ripon Inter-faith Ministries consists of churches in Ripon coming together to serve those in need in our community. Churches include Almond Valley CRC, Calvary Reformed Church, First Baptist Church, First CRC, Free Methodist Church, Grace Brethren Church, Heartland Community Church, and Immanuel CRC.
Volunteers help the ministry staff with donated food distribution and sorting, sizing donated clothes, as well as interviewing applicants. Cash contributions help to cover the additional expenses of food and other items. One hundred percent of all donations go to those in need since the ministry is entirely volunteer operated. 100 N Acacia Ave., Ripon, CA 95366 | (209) 599-3682 Office Hours: 9 A - 11:30 A, 6 P - 7:30 P | Thursdays Ministry Meetings: 1st Tuesday of the month Supporting our Community
We financially support existing area ministries, including: Modesto Gospel Mission, Modesto Pregnancy Center (annually through the baby bottle project San Joaquin Valley Teen Challenge and Faith Home in Turlock) In addition to financial support, we support our missionaries through prayer, birthday and anniversary cards, letters and Christmas gifts. We attempt to increase awareness of Global Outreach and of our missionaries through monthly bulletin inserts, bulletin boards in the sanctuary and family room, the Missions Media Cart, and by encouraging attendance at missions courses (Perspectives, E.W.I.) and conferences (The Harvest Gathering, Traction).
