SUMMER OF PSALMS: PSALM 69 CURRENT STATUS: Trying to figure out how to turn "Summer of '69" into a worship song before Sunday... * Actual sermon may vary. Sunday, 10:30am. SEPTEMBER 1, 10:30AM FAMILY SUNDAY: QUARTERLY PRAYER SERVICE The first Sunday of each month is our Family Sunday, when we take a break from our regular sermon series to hear from a guest speaker, usually a ministry leader, our leadership team, a sponsored missionary, or a member of our community or extended Covenant family. Once a quarter, our Family Sunday is focused on praying together, featuring an open time for prayer requests and praise reports, following by prayer time for our church family and our community. Communion is offered to all on Family Sundays. ** Due to the holiday weekend, we will not be hosting our monthly Family Sunday luncheon. THURSDAY, 9:30AM
PRAYER TIME Every Thursday morning, we're stopping to pray together—even if we're not together. Wherever you happen to be, just take a moment to spend some time in prayer, or if you'd like, feel free to stop by the office and pray with us in person. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 & 17, 10:00AM LADIES BIBLE STUDY Our new Ladies Bible Study is starting up in September and will meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 10:00AM at the Bjerke home. Please contact the church office for the address. THURSDAY, 8:00AM GENERATION-X SMALL GROUP This bible study group led by Pastor Chris Williams is geared toward our Gen-X'ers—if you played Atari at home, dumped your allowance into Pac Man, Joust, and Space Invaders, and saw Star Wars or Grease in theaters (or at the drive-in!), you'll fit right in. The group meets Thursday mornings at 8:00am in the church office. * Members Only jacket/Ray Bans not required SATURDAY, 8:00AM MEN'S BIBLE STUDY The Men's Bible Study meets Saturday mornings at 8:00 in the Heartland Family Room, downstairs in the main building. |
