She's also serves as a Regional Coordinator for AVA, Advocacy for Victims of Abuse in the Pacific Southwest Conference. Her hobbies are gardening, going to the beach, reading and spending time with family and friends. One of her favorite verses in the Bible is Psalm 59:16-17, "As for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. O my Strength, to you I sing praises, for you, O God, are my refuge, the God who shows me unfailing love."
Jason Nawahine, Youth & Worship Director
Jason came to Heartland in 2013 and has served as the director of youth and worship since June of 2016. As a worship leader, he brings over 15 years of music ministry experience. Jason is passionate about giving our youth a solid biblical foundation, helping musicians grow closer to God through their gifts, and keeping the Designated Hitter out of the National League. He is a fan of old movies, the San Francisco Giants, music and guitars, video games, and that team currently pretending to be the San Francisco 49ers. He voted for Bruce Bochy in the last presidential election, drinks too much coffee, and should probably not have been allowed to write his own bio.
Jason lives in Ripon with his wife Traci, their children Sierra and Chris, and more cats than he’s comfortable admitting to.
