OCTOBER 4, 10:30AM FAMILY SUNDAY: SPECIAL GUESTS WORLD RELIEF On the first Sunday of each month, we try to take a break from our regular sermon series and hear from a guest speaker, whether it's someone from our leadership team or a sister church or local community, or a supported missionary or one of our partner programs. This month, we're excited to be joined by our friends at World Relief for an update on how they're helping refugees around the world rebuild their lives. Communion is offered to all on Family Sunday. ** Please join us in the Youth Center next door immediately following our Sunday morning worship service for the return of the monthly potluck luncheon! PRAYER TIME Every Thursday morning, we're stopping to pray together—even if we're not together. Wherever you happen to be, just take a moment to spend some time in prayer, or if you'd like, feel free to stop by the office and pray with us in person. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 & 15, 10:00AM LADIES BIBLE STUDY Our new Ladies Bible Study meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 10:00AM at the Bjerke home. Please contact the church office for the address. THURSDAY, 8:00AM GENERATION-X SMALL GROUP This bible study group led by Pastor Chris Williams is geared toward our Gen-X'ers—if you played Atari at home, dumped your allowance into Pac Man, Joust, and Space Invaders, and saw Star Wars or Grease in theaters (or at the drive-in!), you'll fit right in. The group meets Thursday mornings at 8:00am in the church office. * Members Only jacket/Ray Bans not required SATURDAY, 8:00AM MEN'S BIBLE STUDY The Men's Bible Study meets Saturday mornings at 8:00 in the Heartland Family Room, downstairs in the main building. |
